Visually Stunning Portfolio Presentation – Marius Roosendaal
Collis Ta'eed
How you present your work can often be as important as what you present. What order do you show the work, which work do you show, and how do you lay it out.
Although it’s probably not right for every occasion, ace designer Marius Roosendaal has a very unique and highly visual presentation technique that involved mocking up his work on textured backgrounds. I must admit the end results are stunning and he provides a more details button if you want to see the work a little larger.

He also has a neat site that has three different looks for different times of the day. I know the site has been around on many galleries, but if you haven’t seen it before, it’s well worth checking out.

I’ve had this portfolio bookmarked for a quite a while. Marius’ work is top notch!

Me too, bookmarked this the first time I saw it. Great inspiration.
My only minor complaint is that, although the presentation of the sites looks great, so much of the image it taken up by the fancy textured background and logo that you can hardly see the actual screenshots because they are so small. Which means you’re required to click on the lightbox popup of the larger version for every one if you want a good look at it.
Still a great portfolio. Good use a javascript. Good use of style switcher, and excellent work throughout!

It looks great, but I don’t think it showcases well. I can’t really make out his designs — they are too small. Plus, his lightbox doesn’t work on my MAC.
Double thumbs down.

Stunning for sure! Great attention to detail. Maybe a bit heavy on the mootools for my tastes, but incredibly well done. It deserves all the attention it’s been getting.

Me as well, I’m always going back to check if he has added anymore because his work is an absolutely stunning designer

Any tips on replicating those backgrounds?
